The Pukes - 2 yrs and 10 1/2 months

Our house woke up at 2 am with Eli yelling for Ma.  Both Brian and came in and puke was all over his new bed.  Wednesday of that week several daycare workers and kids were out with a stomach bug and I was thinking we were in the clear.  I should have known something was up cause the kid never is a picky eater but this week he barely ate dinner several nights in a row.  Saturday night we caved and gave him some O's after he didn't touch his dinner just trying to get him to eat something and no more than two bites went down.  He had also attended a birthday party earlier that day at a jump house and didn't play on one jump toy or eat cake.  That should have been a big clue.

After several puking episodes we were all back to bed within the hour and Eli woke up and said, "Feel better ma".  I was so thankful we didn't all wake up with puke all over us.  I was also thankful I didn't get it well not yet....and Brian didn't either.  I can't even remember the last time Eli puked it's been that long.  It has been at least over a year.  I felt so bad for the little guy.  When he puked as a baby he was too young to know what was going on but this time he knew something was wrong and I think it scared him a bit.  Thankfully we got it out the way and can now prepare to enjoy the holiday with no more puke episodes. He is on the mend and has eaten some basic foods, fluids and regular mood.

Our Crooked Christmas Tree

The day we got our 4th live Christmas Tree.  It was slim pickings at West Seattle nursery today.  All the live Frasier Firs were gone.  Eli insisted on getting a purple Christmas Tree.  After 15 minutes of looking at live trees and thinking they were pretty sad.  We looked at the cut ones as well.  Normally we usually go for a small tree cause of our limited space in our house and the bay window we put it up in.  We did not find many small cut trees so back we went to the live trees.  After giving the live ones a second look I read the label on this tree.  It blooms purple pine cones.  I thought it turns purple in one way or another we'll take it!  I also think that the top looks like it's flipping someone off.  Which given my pregnancy hormones that day that is kinda how I felt.  Eli loved pushing the cart around and was very happy they had cider inside.  We also purchased a $2 dollar ornament which was a glass lollipop.  Eli had said he wanted to decorate the tree in lollipops earlier that week.  Decorated tree picture to come later...

Eli Visits Santa - Thursday, December 2, 2010

This was another sweet adventure for Eli.  He will do anything for a candy cane and waited patiently on Santa's lap while the photographer changed the film on the camera.  We were very excited to get another Santa with a real beard this year.  Nordstrom Bellevue Santa has been our tradition every year.  Santa sits in a quiet room with no other distractions so the pictures always turn out great (depending on child of course).  We have been lucky every year thus far.  Eli told Santa he wanted jelly beans, lollipops and apples.  We can't wait to get the photos cause the photographer attacked me with kisses from a stuffed reindeer animal.  He giggled and smiled so big!  Another sweet holiday memory.
