Where did May Go?

We have been very busy! Between hearing appointments (Sam is now heading down the same road as Eli and has started speech therapy), getting used to Sam's adventurous climbing skills, Eli's gymnastics class and my heavy work out schedule, no time to blog.  Now that summer is approaching (no more Mon. Preschool), gymnastics is over we have two more days all together now.  Lately they have been spending it at Kids Club at the gym.  Time for mama to get it in gear, dusted off the ole treadmill.  I think I'm going on my first diet really ever in my life, we will see how it goes.

Not sure how Eli is going to transition leaving Tiny Tribe on August 22nd and Sam starting. He will have two full weeks of mama time then half day preschool in the Fall.  I'm looking forward to it! I better get my but in gear in planning some fun activities!

Feeling Better

Man have we been on a whirlwind of illness lately.  So happy the sun has finally come out and no one has a fever.  Time to spring clean the old outdoor toys.  Sam acts like he's never seen grass before and is enjoying the new play fun.

Sam really enjoying playing ball with his girlfriends Uncle Alex.
Preparing the garden bed, Eli showing Sam the ropes.
Sam is already a little climber he just became a walker.
Reaching for the stars!

Story Time Participation

We haven't been to story time in a long time so we decided to go yesterday.   Sam was only able to sit up last time we went.  Yes, it's been that long.  Eli is old enough and thankfully his speech has developed enough to fully participate when the the librarian asks questions.  Even though we are still working on that 'L' sound.  Eli had some pretty good animal sounds and I think he might have been the loudest too. It made it even more fun when we ran into some of our friends there Marianna and Isabella. These videos are for Auntie Jen primarily since it's her busy tax season and we miss her dearly.  So here is some short clips of Eli being a Lion and Sam shaking it.

Couple books we checked out:
What do you do with a Tail Like This? (this one was cool)
DinoTrux
Prehistoric Actual Size
Where's Waldo The Fantastic Journey

Special Time Separate and Together

This is Sam so excited about playing with his brothers special whales while he is at preschool.  He gets to play with them all by himself.  You can see the joy!
After preschool while Sam naps Eli and I decide to make scratch cupcakes together.
After making too many and eating our fair share Eli insisted on sharing with his friend Finn.  So we dropped in on his friend Finn and his grandma and made a special delivery.  It was fun, disappointed now I didn't get any pics of the two of them.
I'm not really a good baker so this pic is just showing off how good I thought they tasted.
First swing ride Sam has had in a while at Riverview
Sliding together, I think Sam's first and Eli loved showing Sam the lay of the land of the playground.
Reminded of the new found freedom of walking and not having to carry baby Sam all the time but also getting prepared for turtle pace walking.

1st Double Ear Infection after 2nd Set Tube Replacement

This is us at Bartells being kind to those around us.  Surprisingly Sam has avoided this cough and ear infection round.

Oh Mom is going to make me drink this medicine, yes lets take a picture!
I got stall tactics up my sleeve.
Oh man she is really going to make me take this.
 Negotiations taking place.
Oh mom......hungry still, more chaser on and on for an HOUR!
Me.

Monkey and Dinosaur Decorations

If your husband still hasn't taken down any Christmas decorations like mine (see wreath) then you might want to try texting a picture to him and cc'ing his friend as a joke (sorta) and ask them how much money it costs for someone to take it down? Even then I'm not sure the embarrassment alone will work because so far it hasn't.  I'm just not sure how it took him one day to put up and has been months to take it down.  I guess this is what happens when you have two children? I'm starting to really dislike that wreath and I might not even buy one next season (that benefits the local preschool) because I might still have one up.
My little monkeys really monkeying around.  Eli insists putting the tails of all the monkeys he owns and puts them in Sam's shirt.  Not sure how he gets them to stay in there but Sam ends up walking and crawling around with two little monkeys on his back.  Hmmm....well at least he knows how I feel sometimes ;)
This is our dinosaur creation we made from a website that had the body parts ready for us to color, cut and glue.  All you need is a toilet paper roll.  Since Eli has been working on his wiping we have plenty of empty ones.  When he goes to the bathroom and has to wipe and I'm not right there with him some how we end up with toilet paper draped up and down the hallway and around the staircase banister.

Lil Spring Cleaning and Seedling Starting

Sam is already starting to clean.  I am determined to make sure my boys always contribute no matter what household they are in.
Eli planting our seedlings for our sugar baby watermelons.  I hardly even had to give him any instruction.  He made holes put seeds in and watered them just the right amount.  My little gardener.  I can't believe this is our 4th spring together and every year I have high gardening ambitions.  We are getting an early start this year.
Sam already into the play kitchen.  We got this for Eli for his first Christmas and it seems to still be of interest in this house.

Bitter Sweet Day

Today I had my last nursing with this wonderful boy! Sam is now big enough to eat what we eat and it's time for me to be done nursing.  Almost made it 13 months we are about one week shy of 13 months.   Although I love nursing this mama is ready to part with this wonderful part of my life.  The last couple of months have been really hard with my hormones being up and down trying to adjust to my milk production going down but I can slowly feel my energy coming back and really having my whole body back to myself.  I also have bowling nights on the horizon that start in a couple of weeks and let's just say I do my fair share of taking down the pitchers of beer so can't be doing that to baby Samuel regularly.  I can taste the freedom of not having a baby hanging on to my tit like a little monkey.  Although I have treasured nursing my two little monkeys immensely I am happy to say that my nursing days are complete in this lifetime.  Which is crazy to think I won't every do it again because it has been one of the best things I have done in my lifetime.
